Where to Find Your NDC Number

An NDC (National Drug Code) number is a universal product identifier for human drugs in the US. Each NDC number is unique to the drug's manufacturer, product, and size. Search by your medication's NDC code to quickly find your exact product.

On the Packaging

Look for a 10-digit number (formatted like 12345-678-01) on the outer box, near the barcode, or on a side panel. It's usually labeled "NDC" or "NDC#".

On the Bottle Label

On prescription bottles, the NDC may be printed on the pharmacy label (often near the drug name or quantity). If it's not on the bottle, look for the NDC on the bottom of the drug information pamphlet that comes with your prescription.

On Your Pharmacy App

Most pharmacy apps (CVS, Walgreens, etc.) list the NDC in the medication details section for each of your prescriptions.

Don't Have the NDC?
